The ‘Getting Away With Murder’ experience is your chance to investigate a fictional murder scene, based on real-life crimes. It’s an interactive experience created and developed by Dr Friday for training police officers, as well as forensic psychology and criminology students wanting to apply what they have studied and improve their skills… but it’s also perfect for the public too, as extra guidance is available if needed. You’ll learn about the use of forensic techniques, and how to examine evidence whilst you attempt to solve the murder – so put your team together and see if you have what it takes to crack the case.
DURATION: 60 MINUTES
Your time here includes a short crash-course on how to find and evaluate evidence, the chance to investigate the crime scene, and a debriefing afterwards where we’ll discover whether you solved the case.
WHAT IT IS…
This is a replicated crime scene experience, based on real-life cases and investigation techniques. It’s a chance for anyone to experience being a detective, and doing so can be a lot of fun. However, it is a challenge to be taken seriously using logic, deductive reasoning, and observation skills as you piece the plot together and attempt to solve the murder.
WHAT IT ISN’T…
This is not a themed party room, or an escape game. This challenge requires quiet thought and discussion. A chaotic approach and shouting over your team members’ suggestions will render the plot unsolvable… you’ll discover less, and therefore will not appreciate the experience as much as if you arrive intent on cracking the case through determination and careful deliberation.
SUITABLE FOR
Whilst this experience is suitable for children aged 12+, at least one adult (18+) is required to be part of every group. Parental discretion is advised due to the challenging themes typically associated with Crime Scene Investigation. The images portrayed, periods of darkness, and loud noises may not be suitable for younger guests, or those of a more nervous disposition. It is not a physical challenge, and disabled toilets are available – but the lift will only take you part of the way. If disabled access is a concern, please email before booking and we’ll help all we can.
