What should I expect?

To tell you too much may ruin the experience – but ‘Getting Away With Murder’ is your chance to investigate a fictional murder scene, based on real-life crimes. You’ll learn about the use of forensic techniques and how to examine evidence whilst you attempt to solve the murder – so put your team together and see if you have what it takes to crack the case!

When should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your designated start time so that we are able to brief you, immerse you in the plot, and to ensure you get your full time within the replicated crime scene.

What if I'm late?

Please do your very best to arrive at least 5 minutes before your designated start time. We know that occasionally circumstances beyond our control delay even the best of us, and we will always try to help where possible – however we will not start games late when this may affect guests booked after you – so please allow plenty of time for travel and parking as we cannot refund your booking if you arrive too late to take part.

How long will it take?

While your experience lasts up to an hour, you should allow approximately 5 minutes before it begins to be briefed, and a short while afterwards for your free digital photo to be taken.

How many people can I bring?

Every booking is for up to 5 people. You can choose to bring a smaller team, but the cost per person is higher. It is also very likely you’ll have a better experience as a group as there are more ideas shared.

What is the age limit?

Whilst this experience is suitable for children aged 12+, at least one adult (18+) is required to be part of every group. Parental discretion is advised due to the challenging themes typically associated with Crime Scene Investigation. The images portrayed, periods of darkness, and loud noises may not be suitable for younger guests, or those of a more nervous disposition.

Can I take photos or recordings?

For your own enjoyment as well as that of future guests – taking photos, videos, or any other type of recording is strictly prohibited whilst inside the replicated crime scene. Phones, cameras, or any other recording devices must be turned off for the duration of your visit unless otherwise specified by staff. Your game does however include a themed digital photo for you to download after your experience… and it’s provided free of charge.

Is it suitable for my group?

It is not a physical challenge, and disabled toilets are available – but the lift will only take you part of the way to the experience. If disabled access is a concern, please contact us before booking and we’ll help all we can. Whilst the experience is suitable for children (see above for age restrictions), more sensitive guests may find some scenes, moments, and plot elements frightening. Epileptics should be aware that flashing lights are used.

Is this experience weather dependent?

Once you have arrived at the location, all the facilities are undercover so bad weather cannot ruin your experience.

What should I wear?

Whilst this experience is not physically demanding, the replicated crime scene does require exploring, so please wear clothes that enable you to do so. Stilettos should be avoided.

What if you cancel the booking?

We’ll do our very best not to disappoint, but in extreme circumstances it may be necessary for us to cancel your booking. Should this happen, you will be notified by email as soon as possible, so it can be rearranged for another date. If this is not possible, then of course you will be refunded in line with our T&Cs.

What if I want to cancel the booking?

We of course hope you can attend the session you’ve booked, but should you be unable to do so you are welcome to send others in your place. We cannot however refund tickets once booked.

Can I bring food or drink?

Neither food nor drink can be allowed inside the experience unless it was given to you by us, as we do offer complimentary fair trade barista-style coffee and tea! There is also a bar and a restaurant for you to enjoy before or after your experience. Please note, consumption of alcohol before your experience is not permitted.

Are toilet facilities available?

Toilet facilities are available both before and after your game, but please note that once you’re inside the experience, you’ll only be able to leave in an emergency so as to not disturb the atmosphere and plot timeline.

When can I book for?

Advertised sessions are limited and can be seen via our ‘Make a Booking‘ page. You can however contact us to make special arrangements, book an extended session, or enquire about an experience time that’s not currently being advertised.
