The ‘Getting Away With Murder’ experience features a selection of criminology and forensic psychology topics to cover what typically fascinates the majority most – however should you require specialist training or consultation then you may prefer to focus on fewer aspects, but in greater detail. Those working in criminology related roles such as detectives, police and prison officers, and barristers would benefit from this level of analysis – as would Masters and PhD level criminology students. These sessions look in depth at applying theories, techniques and research to environments such as crime scenes, interview rooms, and prisons. It is therefore more serious and scientific than the standard version, with a greater emphasis on effectiveness and outcomes.

By choosing this option you can direct the session to concentrate on matters such as the examination of video recordings, case files, transcripts, or evidence. Other options include DNA evidence analysis, leading the witness, suspect profiling, jury decision making, rehabilitation, false confessions, research design, criminal pre-disposition, interview techniques, and my own PhD research concerning covert surveillance.

Police and prison officers may be particularly interested in this section too, and as the special training option does not require the replicated crime scenes you may prefer that I visit you – especially if you require me to look at your premises or the case files kept there.
