Lectures
In addition to lecturing in psychology at the University of Greenwich, I am pleased to bring more accessible and intimate public lectures to you.
I have been invited to discuss my research as a guest lecturer at London’s Regents University, the University of Newcastle, Canterbury Christ Church University, the University of Leeds, the University of York, and the University of Swansea – all of which has enabled me not only to share what I have learned, but also to extend my knowledge by meeting and working with acclaimed psychologists such as Professor Chris Roe of the University of Northampton, and international researchers such as Dr Rupert Sheldrake who was formerly based at Cambridge University.
As well as sharing my findings with audiences at these institutions, I have also been the course lecturer at the University of Greenwich in London where I taught subjects as diverse as ‘Exceptional Human Experience’, ‘Applied Psychology’, ‘Criminology and Forensic Psychology’, ‘Research Methods’, and ‘Academic Development’. I have always strived to make my lectures and seminars as informative and factual as possible, but also accessible to the casually interested. If there’s an opportunity to inject humour, I’ll take it… and I use as many real-world examples and practical demonstrations as possible.
Previously I’ve only been able to share what I have found to be a successful mix of interesting discoveries, surprising research results, and amusing theoretical contradictions to academics and university students, but with so many people showing an interest in laughing whilst learning – I’m pleased to be able to bring this to whoever would like to attend. There are two ways of doing so:
- Attend a public lecture where you simply book your place within a casual, but intimate gathering of like-minded individuals. Attend on your own, with a partner, or with family and friends – the choice is yours and you’ll be made welcome either way. If you’re part of a group, please consider the below option as you may be able to choose a date suitable to you. Please click here if you have any questions or would like to make a booking.
- Make a group booking for your company, team, family, friends, or social club. It’ll still only be for an audience of up to 16 people so will allow plenty of opportunity for questions – but this way ensures you can request a date that suits you, and that you’ll know the person sitting next to you. This option is perfect for team building as the session is packed with practical demonstrations that will make you laugh, and you can request to have the session made ‘work relevant’ if you’d prefer.
