Rochester’s history dates back centuries, and was a place cherished by the famous Victorian novelist Charles Dickens. This place inspired the author so much that he featured it in his work more than any city, other than London. 

So, before or after your appointment you might want to explore the High Street which is packed with quaint, independent shops and a great range of cafes and restaurants. And whilst you’re there, why not take the opportunity to visit the stunning Rochester Cathedral, or enjoy breathtaking views from the top of one of the tallest keeps in the country at the magnificent Rochester Castle.
